Back June 4th or thereabouts!

I just upgraded my blog software, and as part of that process, wound up updating the feed. Nothing’s changed in those older posts; I’ll always use the “Update” convention when I change posts in a meaningful way.

Thanks all for the well wishes! I’ve been home for about 24 hours and am surprised to be feeling remarkably well and mostly pain-free. They sent me home with serious pain meds and something for nausea, but I haven’t needed either; I’ve just been doing the monster Motrin (800mg) every six hours.

Things are going to be quiet here for a few days. I’m heading off tomorrow to have my fibroids fixed. It’s a relatively non-invasive procedure (I’m having the uterine artery embolization), but I’ll be kept overnight for pain managment.

Okay, well I was partly successful. Now I see why the old RSS feed only used excerpts! It doesn’t support HTML, so the entire text is compressed so that paragraphs and stuff are gone. Yuck!

Okay, I’m just tweaking my RSS feeds. I think I fixed the older RSS feed that was just including abstracts and I’ve added a logo to the other versions. Now to test with feedvalidator.org.
Oops, let’s get rid of that extra paren in the feed template. Oh, and the HTML. RSS .92 doesn’t care for it.

Thanks for your patience. I’ve gone ahead and updated my feed scripts so that they append a short blurb at the end with a link to my blog and to the Creative Commons license I write Act Boldly under.
