The Biggest Loser: still more men vs women

Posted November 16, 2005 at 7:03 am

Ugh. Well, isn’t that a bummer? Dr. Jeff got booted off The Biggest Loser last night. Rats.

Oh well, at least I can point out that the men beat the women, again, if you compare their respective weight losses. (If you’re new to this blog, I have been complaining how unfair it was to have men versus the women at the beginning, and I’ve been still comparing their performance even after they broke up the teams here, here, here, here, and here).

Overall, the men lost 4.9% of their weight, while the women lost just 2.01%. With Matt’s 26-lb weight loss last night, I almost didn’t even do the math, but I decided I wanted to see what Matt needed to lose in order to beat the women: turns out it was just 5 lbs.

That makes it 8 wins for the men and 2 wins for the women. I sure hope we don’t see men versus the women in season 3!

Anyways, here are the latest standings re overall weight loss:

Suzy 26.87%
Andrea 20%
Matt 29.2%
Seth 27.49%

Seems like it’s a pretty good three-way race. It should be interesting to see who winds up being booted out next week.

When will they vote Matt off? Are they not seeing what we are seeing? Sigh.
