The Biggest Loser’s battle of the sexes

Ha! I’ll bet you thought that since they got rid of the men’s and women’s teams on The Biggest Loser that I wouldn’t post about how unfair men versus women is. Guess again :).
Just because I can’t let go of it, I have to share that I crunched the numbers last night just to see what would have happened had they kept it men versus the women. No big suprise here.
The men beat the women soundly: 3.43% to 2.69%.
This despite the fact that Seth lost nothing, and the women had a very strong week. Both Matt and Mark made up for their poor performance the previous week.
And in case you thought that having the all-male duo of Pete and Jeff lose last night was proof that the men weren’t at an advantage, that’s not true either. Pete and Jeff had an percentage weight loss of 2.86% (still higher than all the women combined). But Suzy and Seth lost less than one percent (.95%)
Winning immunity sure saved their butts.

I didn’t see Suzy and Seth’s weigh in. Did they just neglect their diet and exercise regimen since they won immunity?

Darn it - we don’t have that show here!
Waaaah!

Nikki,
I don’t think Suzy and Seth neglected their diets. Remember, Suzy is the lightest of the women, so four pounds in a week is pretty good. And if I recall, she was the biggest loser for the women the week before.
Seth lost 10 pounds the previous week. So I think he saw the same slowdown/plateau that Mark and Matt saw last week.
