Persistance

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

This entry reminds me of an accounting professor I had during my undergraduate degree who would alarm the class by singing out “Let’s press on!” before any of us had grasped what he was trying to teach. Kind of like in life where time keeps on ticking by whether you’ve grasped life’s essential lessons or not.
Nevertheless, I agree that sticking with it is the difference between failure and success. Today, on my blog, I was wondering about what other options I might have? To quit? The soul rebels. So, I must press on (old accountancy teacher notwithstanding). :)
